“Speciale” pure malt beer by Lurisia good, light, tasty together with a nice plate of Spring Penne with tomato, mozzarella, garlic and a sprinkling of salty ricotta.
Risotto with Lurisia beer and green asparagus
With the beer of Lurisia I created an excellent Risotto with pure malt beer and green asparagus.
Ingredients: Lurisia beer “Normale”, shallot, 160 g of green asparagus, 180 g of rice, vegetable stock, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper.
Thinly slice the shallot, chop the asparagus and let them cook with Lurisia beer over medium heat, when they are cooked, add more beer and the rice and let it toast, add the vegetable stock and continue to cook over a medium heat, add more beer at least 5 minutes before before finishing to cook the rice , turn off the heat, add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
… since Easter passed recently and my pantry is invaded by chocolate I thought I'd prepare a cake and add to the usual ingredients Lurisia‘s Speciale beer. This is the first time that I have ever added beer to a dessert but I must say that the result was excellent.
To prepare these donuts you will need: 250 g of flour, 200 g of sugar, 500 g of milk chocolate, 3 eggs, 180 g of chopped hazelnuts, 1 bottle of Speciale beer, 175 g of butter at room temperature, 1 sachet of baking powder and vanilla extract.
Put the flour, eggs, sugar, baking powder, butter and vanilla extract in a large bowl and mix them all together with an electric mixer, add the beer, chocolate (which has been melted in the microwave) and finally the chopped hazelnuts.
Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured oven bowl and cook in oven at 180° for about 30-40 minutes (check by placing a knife in the center).
Sprinkle with icing sugar and it is ready to serve along with a nice cold glass of Lurisia‘s Aranciata!
The “true” panache
… I have finally decided to try the French drink panache, an alcoholic cocktail made from beer and Lemonade, very fresh and thirst quenching, perfect for a picnic. To make this cocktail all you need to do is mix 2 parts of Lurisia’s Normale beer and 1 part Lurisia‘s Gazzosa, just taste the freshness…
Risotto with Normale beer and sausage
Ingredients for 2 people: 160 g of rice, 30 g of butter, 150 g of sausage, 75 ml of Normale beer, vegetable stock, parmesan cheese and sage.
Finely chop the onion and sauté with butter and Sage. When the butter has melted, add the sausage skinned and in pieces and lightly fry. Add the rice, water down with Lurisia‘s Normale beer and let it evaporate. Cook the rice, keeping moist with the hot stock a ladleful at a time. Once cooked turn it off and add Parmesan, cover with the lid and let it sit a few minutes before serving.
