Recycling Guide

Correct recycling makes a difference.

Just a few simple gestures to separate correctly the food packaging that we throw away. Small steps that are good for the environment and therefore also good for us. The better our recycling is, the easier is the recycling operation. Follow these practical tips, they apply not only to our products.

Glass bottles

Non-returnable glass (the bottles that are packed in boxes):before throwing the bottles away in the correct bin, remember to remove the cap and empty completely the contents. You can leave the label or other accessories that are difficult to remove.

Returnable glass (the bottles that are packed in plastic crates):just replace the bottles in the plastic delivery crates. The glass once sanitized and controlled will be ready for re-use.
Remember NOT to use returnable glass bottles to hold other liquids (oil, alcohol, etc.) especially non food (detergents, petrol, etc.). They may no longer be fit to contain water.

Plastic bottles

Reduce to minimum the volume by squashing the bottle but do not put the cap back on, otherwise it would not allow the release of residual air during the compacting phase by the collection vehicle. Bottle, cap, label and packaging are all made of plastic and can be recycled in the appropriate container.

Clusters and boxes

The boxes of water and clusters of soft drinks are made of cardboard. They are to be recycled with other scraps of paper in the appropriate container.

Aluminium caps

The glass water bottles with screw-on aluminium caps, once separated from the bottle are to be recycled in the appropriate container.

Metal caps

The glass water bottles with crown caps, soft drinks, beers and Unico have metal caps, once separated from the bottle are to be recycled in the appropriate container. To see if the cap is made of metal, use a magnet. Like the ones that are often found on fridge doors.

N.B. To find out what materials can be recycled together, check with your local authority.
